 With a wide barrier reef
stretching along the coastline of Dahab, the area is ideal for
snorkelling. Beautiful reefs with many types of coloured fish and
coral are only a few metres away from camp-entrance. The depth
ranges from less than a metre (for inexperienced
snorkellers) to more than 40 metres (Blue Hole and The
Canyon).
Within the Dahab City area you can reach many great
snorkelling spots including Eel Garden, Lighthouse, The Blue Hole,
Reef Islands and Laguna (More Information).
All are easily accessible from shore (look out for the marked entry points) and are reached either by walking or by jeep (which can be arranged through Alaska Safari). You can rent snorkelling equipment very cheaply at Alaska Camp & Hotel.
